“ON THE ROUTE OF THE MUSIC” IN THE PORT MUSEUM OF TRICASE

“Only music is equal to the sea” is what the philosopher, writer and journalist Albert Camus wrote. In the Port Museum of Tricase, music and the sea meet to draw together a route full of emotion and suggestion.

“On the Route of the music” is the musical event that on Friday, May 19, 2023, starting at 6:30 p.m., will animate the entire Port Museum with more than 100 young musicians from the Istituto Comprensivo “G. Pascoli” in Tricase and the Istituto Comprensivo Statale “Lesmo” in Monza Brianza. An event made possible thanks to the contribution of the Municipality of Tricase and the Magna Grecia Mare Association and the commitment of the economic operators and associations of the Port Museum of Tricase.

An event that is not only a succession of notes and chords masterfully put together but is first of all the journey “di conserva” of the orchestras of two schools on opposite sides of the Italian peninsula. It is the landing place of many young people, their commitment, their smiles, their passions and emotions.

On the proposal of Luigi Nicolardi, former professor of the I. C. di Lesmo, the Headmaster, Anna Maria Turco, the School Committee  and, in particular, the music teachers Antonella Colaci, Pierpaolo Del Prete, Salvatore Minutello, Antonio Persano enthusiastically supported this initiative allowing the two schools to create the twinning.

They will be the ones to accompany the children’s performances with their instruments.

An entire port is mobilized to welcome the young “navigators”.

Starting at 18.30 the rehearsals of the bands will enliven the various locations of the port: the Cisternone del porto and the Piazzetta San Nicola will host the “Quartetto Butterfly” and the “Orchestra Myricae”.

Lega Navale, Libeccio Association and Caffè d’Oltremare open their terraces to welcome the performances of “Woods Ensemble” and “Queentetto Le Mafalde”.

To animate the deck of the Portus Veneris sailing ship will be “Sulle note di Kalinifta”, an ensemble of the two schools.

On the Rotonda Grande the notes of the Brass Orchestra composed of young musicians of Lesmo will resound, waiting for the final Grand Concert of the two orchestras which will begin at 20.00.
